Description
The Opinel No 7 Round Ended Safety Knife features a Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel blade. This material is anti-corrosive due to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% ensures an excellent cutting edge.
The blade has a rounded tip for safety, making it ideal for spreading as well.
The handle is crafted from white wood sourced from French forests, known for its minimal veining, making it perfect for color application. It is varnished to protect against moisture and dirt.
The knife includes a Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. This stainless steel ring has two sections: one fixed and one sliding. It allows the blade to be locked open for safety during use and locked closed for safety during transport.
