Description
The Opinel No 7 Round Ended Stainless Safety Red features a blade made from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. This material is anti-corrosive due to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. With a carbon content of at least 0.40%, it provides an excellent cutting edge.
The blade’s tip is rounded for safety, making it ideal for spreading tasks.
The handle is crafted from white wood sourced from French forests, known for its minimal veining, making it perfect for color application. It is varnished to protect against moisture and dirt.
The knife includes a Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. This stainless steel ring has two sections: one fixed and one sliding. It locks the blade open for safe use and closed for safe transport.
