Description
The Olight DM/FM20 Medium Filters for EDC Flashlights are versatile color filters designed to modify the light output of compatible Olight flashlights, ideal for outdoor and tactical use. Available in red, green, blue, and a white diffuser, these filters enhance functionality for campers, hunters, and law enforcement professionals.
Versatile Light Modification for Multiple Scenarios
These filters are compatible with Olight flashlights with a 33.5mm head diameter, including models like the M20 Series (M20, M20S, M20-X, M20SX-L2, M20SX Javelot), S30 Baton, S30R Baton, M2R, M2T, and Seeker 2 Pro. The set includes four options:
- Red Filter: Preserves night vision and reduces the chance of alerting game animals, ideal for hunting and map reading.
- Green Filter: Enhances visual acuity and doesn’t spook animals, perfect for fishing, hunting, and night navigation.
- Blue Filter: Increases visibility of sweat and blood, useful for law enforcement and tracking animals.
- White Diffuser: Softens light for area illumination, great for close-range tasks like reading.
Some users note the filters fit snugly but can be tricky to remove. These filters are perfect for adapting your flashlight to various outdoor and tactical scenarios, though users should ensure a secure fit to avoid slippage.
Durable and Portable Design
The Olight DM/FM20 Medium Filters are constructed from rugged thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), offering flexibility, durability, and resistance to chemicals and abrasion. Each filter features a lanyard hole for easy attachment to a cord or strap, ensuring it stays handy during use. They are designed to slip over the head of compatible flashlights, with a contractile TPU lens cone ensuring a secure fit. The filters are lightweight, weighing approximately 10g each, and their compact size makes them easy to carry in a pocket or pack. Some users mention the TPU material can stretch slightly over time, but it still stays on.
Designed for Outdoor and Tactical Use
The Olight DM/FM20 Medium Filters enhance the functionality of Olight flashlights like the M20SX Javelot or S30R Baton, making them more versatile for specific tasks. For example, hunters can use the green filter to avoid spooking game, while law enforcement may use the blue filter to track evidence. The white diffuser is ideal for non-tactical tasks like reading maps at night. These filters are particularly useful for adapting light output without needing multiple flashlights, though their effectiveness depends on the flashlight’s base output and beam pattern. They’re ideal for camping, hunting, law enforcement, or EDC use.
