The ASI JM180 Snake Tong is perfect for removing snakes from hard-to-reach places, such as trees or thatched roofs. With an extra 74 cm compared to the PRO 100, it keeps the snake further away from the handler, providing enhanced safety.
Based on our best-selling PRO series, the JM tongs feature several important modifications, extensively tried and tested. The upper jaw has been extended to create a 3.4 cm overbite, significantly improving functionality compared to most snake tongs, where the overbite is only around 1.5 cm or less in cheaper imports.
We’ve also reduced the gap between the upper and lower jaw parts when closed to no larger than 1–2 mm, ensuring the two sections nearly touch. This prevents pinching and makes it possible to catch smaller snakes effectively. Additionally, a double crimp has been added to the steel cable.
