Description
We launched the GDome Mobile and decided to try the Hero 8 inside the housing. Installation was quick: we sketched the Hero 8’s outline onto the foam insert, cut it out, placed the camera in, closed the backdoor, and tightened the thumbscrews. The flexible membrane conformed to the camera, allowing access to all buttons and visibility of the screen. The touch functionality of the camera screen even worked at the surface.
Images are so clear, you wouldn’t think they were shot through a dome. Enhancing our already great optics was a challenge, but we succeeded by perfecting the GDome optic lens. This V1 dome lens has been used successfully on all our PDS systems. With the release of GDome PDS, we improved its makeup. The new V2 lens will be included with each unit and implemented across our existing range as soon as we start shipping.
