Introducing the V3.0 GDome Dome Housing, compatible with GoPro Hero 4 / 3+ / 3 / Hero+ and Hero. The PDS (Professional Dome System) has been meticulously developed over two years to offer an unrivaled dome system that is both affordable and easy to use, while providing industry-leading optics.
With this dome housing, capturing the elusive under-over shot, also known as 50/50 or split shot, has never been easier. The GDome Housing features a 160mm dome that pushes the waterline away from the lens, creating a space that allows you to capture the split in the waterline with unbelievable ease. Utilizing your GoPro’s near-infinite depth of field and wide-angle lens makes obtaining high-quality video and stills remarkably easy compared to $2000 DSLR setups that face complexities like depth of field, focus, and exposure.
This spacing also enhances water shots above the water, as spray or drops that would have covered most of the lens are now just a small dot in the field of view. The gap between the lens and dome moves water particles further away from the camera lens, resulting in cleaner underwater images and a drastically improved field of view.
The GDome system employs unique O-Ring compression seals between the dome and backplate, and around the side of the camera lens, with no silicone or glue used to create a seal. Each Hero 4 PDS Dome is pressure tested to 40m / 130ft before leaving the factory, ensuring no leaks.
Enjoy sharper, cleaner GoPro images at depths other domes can’t reach. The PDS is composed of completely detachable parts, allowing for easy servicing, spare part replacements, and upgrades.
