The Spuhr R-7642 Sauer STR Scope Base 6MIL Extended
The Spuhr R-7642 Sauer STR Scope Base 6MIL Extended is a Picatinny Gen2 scope base designed for the Sauer 200 STR. This high-quality, dehorned scope mount base is built on a decade of experience in designing and manufacturing the original Ideal Scope Mount System. It includes a vast number of accessories, as well as forends and stock assemblies for various firearms.
Our Picatinny Gen2 scope bases feature properly dehorned edges for improved repeatability and a smooth touch. Constructed from 7075 T651 aluminum, it combines strength and durability with low weight. The rail comes with 6-48×1/4” Torx 10-screws and stainless steel pins for optional pinning of the scope base to the action. It can be used on both right and left-handed actions.
Installation requires drilling and tapping of the receiver (see downloadable Drill Pattern for measurements). The base has a tilt of 6 MIL/20.6 MOA, a height of 15 mm/0.59”, a length of 215 mm/8.46”, and a weight of 107 g/3.8 oz (with screws – add 1.2 g/0.04 oz for pins). Note: Height is measured from the top of the action in the rear to the top of the Picatinny. Recommended torque for Torx 10 screws is 15-18 in/lbs.
