Description
Designed for rifles chambered in 7mm cartridges, this bullet features the heavy, double-tapered Sierra jacket, ideal for hunting. The 150 grain #1913 Spitzer Boat Tail bullet offers a high ballistic coefficient compared to the 140 grain bullet, making it an excellent choice for medium to long-range use in 7mm magnum cartridges. Both bullets deliver superb accuracy, excellent expansion, and good penetration on medium game at ranges up to 500 yards.
In handguns, the 150 grain #1913 bullet is considered too “tough” for smaller cartridges like the 7mm TCU and 7mm BR. However, it is frequently used in the Remington XP-100 chambered for the 7mm-08 Remington or similar cartridge/handgun combinations for target shooting and hunting. This bullet performs well when driven at 2500 fps or more for medium or large game at typical handgun ranges. While hunting applications are limited to specific cartridge and handgun combinations, there are no such restrictions for target shooting. It is suitable for use in all 7mm cartridges for target practice.
