The 6.5mm 123 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail (1727) bullet is designed to fill the gap for a mid-weight, high ballistic coefficient bullet for the growing 6.5mm long-range community. This bullet is a popular choice for long-range target shooting and silhouette competitions.
With long-range design in mind, this bullet features a longer ogive, smaller meplat, and improved boat tail to enhance downrange efficiency, accuracy, and reduce wind drift.
While renowned worldwide for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing® and Tipped MatchKing® bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although they are commonly used for varmint hunting, their heavier jackets do not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz, or Varminter counterparts.
