The French contract G17 pistol and its civilian counterpart are mostly identical to the standard G17 Gen5 with a few minor exceptions. One difference that jumps out right away is the coyote tan color of the frame, which, as mentioned on the company’s website, makes the G17 Gen5 FR Coyote the first Gen 5 pistol to feature this unique color.
