- 420HC Steel: This is Buck’s standard blade material, offering the wear resistance of high carbon alloys and the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Enhanced by Buck’s exclusive heat-treat process, it provides superior corrosion resistance, excellent strength, wear resistance, and durability. The blade is easy to resharpen and is hardened to a Rockwell hardness of RC 58 for optimal performance.
- Drop Point Blade: This full-bellied blade features a strong, thick point for heavier tasks and general work. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, minimizing accidental puncturing while skinning. The drop point blade is strong and very versatile.
