This 9-day Wilderness First Responder course is an advanced and comprehensive first aid training aimed at those who travel off the beaten track, whether on foot or in a vehicle. It is the international standard for adventure guides, outdoor professionals, and those serious about preparedness and wilderness skills.

Ideal for adventure guides, geologists, farmers, game rangers, and other professionals working in the wild, this course prepares you to take prolonged care of sick or injured clients or colleagues far from help. It also serves as a good introduction to wilderness medicine for doctors, paramedics, nurses, and other medical professionals new to wilderness and remote environment medicine.

The course offers an intense 80-hour learning experience packed with knowledge, hard skills, and extensive simulation training to adequately prepare you for being the help in the wilderness. Wild Medix introduced this course to South Africa over 21 years ago and offers this training throughout Africa. Our instructors are qualified and experienced wilderness medics with decades of experience and proven credentials.
