The BLAST® Bandage by TACMED SOLUTIONS™ is expertly designed to quickly package traumatic amputations, burns, and large pattern wounds with minimal supplies and effort. It features a 50x50cm (20″ X 20″) treatment area, yet packs down to the size of a 10cm (4”) military application bandage.
The large non-adherent wound pad can be easily wrapped around limbs and secured with the attached elastic wrap, providing a sterile protective covering for shrapnel wounds or burns. The expansive coverage area is sufficient to cover the entire back or chest of most casualties.
The BLAST® Bandage includes a removable occlusive layer that covers a 48x48cm (19″x 19″) area, which can also be used to cover abdominal contents, minimizing heat and moisture loss.
The bandage features “brakes” to prevent accidental unrolling of the elastic wrap during high-stress applications, particularly useful when dressing amputations. These brakes provide multiple points of adhesion, preventing slippage and ensuring a secure, effective bandage, reducing the risk of wound exposure during movement.
