Description
The smallest model equipped with a safety ring! The No. 06 is small, light, and convenient for DIY, cutting cardboard, and more.
Carbon Steel
Our carbon steel is extremely hard, guaranteeing excellent cutting quality, good wear resistance, and easy regrinding. Carbon can corrode easily, so we advise avoiding damp locations and to wipe and grease the blade after use.
Handle
Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable, and easy to work with. It has a homogeneous appearance, with a light color that varies from yellow to pink, characterized by numerous small dark dashes.
Safety Ring
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. It locks the blade open for safety in use and can also lock the blade closed for safety in transport.
