Description
The Opinel No 7 features a Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel blade.
This material is anti-corrosive due to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. With a carbon content of at least 0.40%, it offers an excellent cutting edge.
The blade is round-tipped for safety, making it ideal for spreading.
The handle is crafted from white wood sourced from French forests.
This wood, with few veins, is perfect for applying color. It is varnished to protect against moisture and dirt.
The Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is included on all folding knives from the N° 06.
Made from stainless steel, it has two sections: one fixed and one sliding. This allows the blade to be locked open for safety in use and locked closed for safety in transport.
