Opinel No 7 Round Ended Safety Knife Natural – OP001696

Featuring a Sandvik stainless steel blade with a rounded tip for safety, a varnished handle, and a secure Virobloc safety ring.

Description

The Opinel No 7 Round Ended Safety Knife features a blade made from Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. This material is anti-corrosive due to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance. With a carbon content of at least 0.40%, it offers an excellent cutting edge.

The blade’s tip is rounded for safety, making it ideal for spreading.

The handle is crafted from French white wood, known for its minimal veining, making it perfect for applying color. It is varnished to protect against moisture and dirt.

The knife includes a Virobloc safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955. This stainless steel ring has two sections: one fixed and one sliding. It allows the blade to be locked open for safety during use and locked closed for safety during transport.
